At Bitcoinaire, transparency is a critical part of our mission.
Proof of Reserve is an initiative aimed at giving Bitcoinaire users maximum transparency on community assets and how rewards are paid to the community.
With Rewards Explorer, you can use our interactive platform, via your web and mobile app, to have transparency on Bitcoinaire rewards calculations and distribution. It is a secure web interface where every user can verify and understand how their transactions, rates and the different variables that go into calculating their weekly rewards.
Bitcoinaire is opening up its community assets to the world through an independent and automated audit system for financial services.
COLD STORAGE
For security, Bitcoinaire keeps a reserve of Bitcoins in offline storage, reducing the risk of theft. Our approach is unique—we use FIPS-certified Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) to safeguard private key material.
Funds can be transferred to cold storage anytime, but withdrawals require a multi-party signing ceremony. Offline HSMs enforce strict business logic, allowing transactions only to Bitcoinaire-owned addresses. This layered security approach, known as defense in depth, is maintained through QR code-based metadata imports and signature exports.
HSMs also enable encrypted key backups, allowing wallet restoration anywhere.
This repository includes design documents and technical details. While we share our source code, it currently works only with our exact hardware setup. We’re open to making it more modular if the community shows interest in supporting additional hardware vendors.
